Newport Environmental, Scientific and Governance services (NESG) was established in 2021 by to provide environmental services to local government, mining, construction, industry and community groups. We have over 20 years’ experience in the field of environmental sciences with specific expertise in fresh and marine water quality, ecological health assessments, urban storm water systems, sediment and contaminated land assessment and remediation.

Dr Foster was Associate Professor of Environmental and Analytical Chemistry at the University of Canberra. He has extensive experience developing and delivering training programs in environmental sciences and environmental and analytical chemistry. Dr Foster has published over 70 articles in international journals, several book chapters and numerous consulting reports. He is an expert advisor on  toxic elements in the environment, nutrients in water bodies, water quality in estuaries, marine and freshwater systems, metal pollution in soils and sediments. Dr Foster has written and reviewed water quality monitoring programs for federal government agencies, state government departments and  corporations.
